Winter Cold

Mornings here have been chilly. The sky casts a grey blue on everything, but we are keeping toasty warm inside with slipper socks with bows and flannel pajama pants. Today the weather has been crazy, it's been storming for hours and everything is drenched. We have leaks in our old slat beam roof, and in our ancient windows, so we have been stuffing towels around to keep us all dry. Most mornings are quiet and cold, you can barely even hear a bird. But this morning all you could hear was the pitter patter of rain on the roof. It is a magical sound! Makes me wish I were at home baking cookies and watching corny Christmas movies. Ha!

I do love the cold weather when we're toasty inside! If you like the cold weather in the "Golden State", you'll LOVE the Winter weather in the "Lone Star State"! 35 degrees in the middle of the afternoon! Gotta love that!
